Embroidery Services
Fonts, personalised names and numbers, backing, stitch counts and proofs.
Which fonts can I use for embroidered text?
We offer a selection of fonts that are suitable for embroidery and designed to stitch cleanly onto garments. If the font you want is not available in our standard options, you can still use it by converting your text into an image or artwork file and uploading it as part of your design.

Can you embroider individual names and numbers?
At the moment, we do not offer individually embroidered names or numbers on separate garments within the same order.
If you need each item personalised differently, we can usually provide printed names and numbers instead, depending on the garment and design requirements.
Why is there a white layer behind my embroidery?
The white layer you may see on the inside of the garment is called embroidery backing. This is a normal and important part of the embroidery process.
It helps support the fabric while the design is stitched, protects the garment from strain during production and keeps the embroidery secure once applied. The stitching passes through the garment and the backing helps hold the threads in place on the reverse side.
Over time, some of the backing may soften or begin to wear away after repeated washing, but this does not affect the embroidered logo itself, as the design is stitched directly into the fabric.
The backing is normally trimmed to match the size of the embroidery area.
What does high stitch count mean?
Some embroidered logos contain a very large number of stitches, especially if the design is wide, heavily filled or highly detailed. In these cases, additional production time and material may be required, which can lead to an extra high stitch count charge.
We will always let you know if your design falls into this category before proceeding.
Most embroidered logos are relatively straightforward and do not require any additional surcharge. In many cases, logos are well below this threshold.
When does a high stitch count surcharge apply?
Over 25,000 stitches
Designs over 25,000 stitches or wider than 15 cm are usually classed as high stitch count embroidery. These take longer to produce and require more thread and machine time than standard logos.
Over 50,000 stitches
Designs above 50,000 stitches are considered large or complex embroidery applications and may require an additional surcharge beyond the standard embroidery setup.
These designs are more demanding to produce to a high standard and may also affect garment comfort if the embroidery area is too dense.
Where applicable, an extra charge may apply to reflect the increased time and production cost involved.
Will I receive an embroidery proof before production?
Yes. If this is the first time you are ordering a particular logo for embroidery, we can provide an embroidery proof before production begins.
This allows you to review the setup and make sure you are happy with how the design will be interpreted for stitching. If changes are needed, our artwork team can work with you to refine the design before it goes into production.
If you need help with an embroidery proof or have any questions about your logo, you can contact our team on +44 1276 733520 during our normal business hours.
